Bringing ARAH to Life: The Case for a Faithful Live Action GI Joe Movie

Welcome to the Outpost. Today I’m talking live action G.I. Joe films. Specifically the characters and their uniforms. I really wanted to see a live action movie where the characters such as Shipwreck, Scarlett, and Doc look and act like the original ARAH cartoon series characters. I would also love to see live action Crimson Guards, Alley Vipers, and Iron Grenadiers, etc, etc!

The Marvel movies have been a staple in cinema and television the past 20 + years because they took what people loved about the characters and created a live action version based off the original comic book hero. Ironman looks like Ironman, Captain America looks like Captain America. I don’t understand why every time someone gets and idea to do a GI Joe live action movie they have a couple characters that look the part and all the rest of the great characters become generic figures that nobody can figure out who is who.

I want to see a GI Joe movie and it can be done, that creates distinct characters that will have different sub teams that could be in there own movies and also have all of them come together in one huge battle against Cobra. If the right person would grab ahold and create what is already there GI Joe could have a franchise as big as the MCU. Someday it may be done but I really wish there was something now that would bring all the great characters to life. Make sure to check back for our next discussion.
